Summary:

The focus for the FM Global Academy is to continue our dedication to building technical skills and leadership capabilities that enhance our individual, team and enterprise performance through dynamic learning and career development solutions. The manager of learning experience design and development leads the strategy related to learning experience design and development for both clients and internal employees at all levels – enterprise, leadership, technical and non-proprietary. This includes inspiring and leading the team of learning experience designers and developers to deliver creative, interactive, and engaging learning experiences for a global audience that result in positive business impact. This includes annual strategic initiatives as well as core talent development programs.

 

This position will elevate learning to serve as a differentiator in the marketplace as well as a driver for attracting and retaining top talent. This role manages the extensive project portfolio by leading the assessment of learning needs in collaboration with business partners and recommends associated learning solutions. In the event commercial courseware is used, this role will manage vendor research, procurement, and culturally specific adaptations.

 

Schedule & Location:

This position is a full-time office-based opportunity that necessitates the employee’s presence on-site five days a week at either our Norwood, MA office or our Corporate Headquarters in Johnston, RI.

 

Responsibilities Executing on the FM Global Academy design and development strategyCollaborate with Business Partners to qualify requirements for learning and development, ensuring that an effective learning solution will be appropriate to meet specific requirements or recommending other non-learning solutions to considerDirects the analysis, design, development and implementation of learning and development opportunities for both internal employees at all levels, as well as clients and ensure they meet quality standards and are within time/budget parametersManage team resource capacity to support prioritized strategic efforts with the ability to pivot as business needs requireBe a key strategic partner and liaison for staff and operations to advocate for learning expectationsDevelop strategic relationships with key stakeholders to understand performance needs that further business goalsExplores and approves innovative techniques that maximize learning experiencesDrives continuous improvement throughout all learning programsCreate an environment that encourages, empowers, and fosters the development of staff by providing challenging assignments and appropriate level of instruction/feedbackCoordinate and foster teamwork throughout the AcademyManages the contract negotiation and implementation of content providers, establishing guidelines for preferred vendor selectionManages the day-to-day operations and evaluation of account services and changes accordingly to business requirements Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors DegreeInstructional Design, Performance Consulting, CPTD, Business Management or equivalent combination of education, experience required

 

Required Work Experience:

10+ years of relevant experience requiredStrong experience in managing or leading a team, remote team engagement, ADDIE, active learning methodologies including in-person and virtual, program design and curriculum development for programs that span several monthsProject Management, performance consulting and business partnershipLeadership development at all levels of leadership. Assessment and evaluation of learning tied to business results and impactExperience working with senior executives and business leaders at all levels

 

Required Skills:

Expert in all phases of instructional design with an agile mindset – Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and EvaluateExperience with latest development tools including Captivate, Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond (GoAnimate)Very strong leadership, consulting, negotiation and moderator skillsHighly motivated and passionate about learning and development as a differentiatorAbility to interact at all levels of the organization. The hiring range for this position is $130,700.00-$187,800.00 annually. The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience.
