The Third Party Legal Process (“TPLP”) team is looking for talented, hard-working, and collegial individuals to join our team. The TPLP group has primary responsibility for matters where The Charles Schwab Corporation or its subsidiaries (“Schwab”) are involved as a third party. For example, TPLP handles court orders, garnishments, subpoenas, and tax and child support levies.

TPLP is an energetic, efficient, and engaged team. We are looking for a Manager who will be responsible for the oversight and processing of complex matters with precise deadlines, fielding escalations from the team and the field, building relationships with other groups, and leading by example. The Manager will also be responsible for working with other TPLP team members to execute our business goals and ensure items handled by the team are processed in an appropriate and timely manner.  This is an individual contributor role.

Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Management and facilitation of court orders directed to Schwab and monitoring the development of these matters, including corresponding with attorneys and clients, lifting restrictions for allowed activities, working with other departments to address issues, occasionally handling escalated interactions, interpreting legal documents, and the like. Handling appearances for the custodian of Schwab records and ensuring compliance with appearance requirements, including working with outside counsel to prepare witnesses. Processing levies and garnishments to ensure funds are properly restrained and agencies and courts are timely informed of assets held by Schwab. Processing subpoenas to ensure records are produced judiciously.  Serving as a point of escalation for all TPLP lines of work and providing consultative support to internal partners. Communicating via email and telephone with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner. Cross-training to serve as a backup for all lines of TPLP work when staffing needs dictate. Identifying process changes to improve research and enhance TPLP functions. Agility to manage a diverse set of priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Delivery of on-time results in an efficient and accurate manner that meets tight deadlines with little supervision. Exemplary leadership within the team by demonstrating a strong work ethic and results oriented mindset.  What you have
