Title and Summary
Manager, Legal Operations and ComplianceThe GBSC (Global Business Services Center) is Mastercard’s shared services organization supporting multiple business units globally. The Manager, Legal Operations and Compliance is responsible for leading a team within the broader GBSC Legal Services function and is accountable for delivering positive stakeholder experiences and efficient business results. Reporting to the Director, Legal Operations & Compliance Services, this position will be responsible for guiding and executing end-to-end activities within an assigned portfolio of work.•\tDoes the pursuit of excellence appeal to you?

Role
•\tThis role will primarily perform Bank Account activities including reviewing agreements and Terms & Conditions related to bank account opening and maintenance, preparing Board Resolution/POA/Delegation of Authority letters, and preparing Director and Company Secretary Appointment and Resignation letters.
•\tCoordinate efforts across multiple teams such as the GBSC, Law Department and Mastercard Corporate Secretary
•\tHire, develop, and guide a team of legal and compliance professionals performing bank account activities or other legal services described below
•\tTake the lead on addressing issue escalations, coordinating work assignments, and managing prioritization of requests
•\tMonitor performance and manage team to ensure Service Level Objectives are met or exceeded
•\tExecute plans for driving process standardization and best practices through change management initiatives and performance metrics
All About You
•\tLawyer with a Company Secretary certificate
•\tIn addition to Corporate Secretary experience, familiarity with any of the following areas is a plus: contract lifecycle management, compliance monitoring and alert screening, litigation support, responding to KYC requests, and other legal support functions
•\tDemonstrated ability to manage workloads involving tasks of varying priority and complexity
•\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with emphasis on collaborating with key legal and business stakeholders\t
•\tAbility to organize, track, analyze and identify insights about large sums of detailed data
•\tExperience initiating and managing legal process improvements in response to process metrics and stakeholder feedback
•\tSuccessful track record of leading and developing a team of contract administrators and individual contributors performing legal and compliance activities
