**Job Summary**
The Manager of Lighting Sales will lead a team of Account Executives and support personnel to grow lighting sales and related services within Georgia Power’s unregulated Lighting and Smart Services business unit. Responsibilities include communicating with all levels throughout the company, motivating and managing team performance, fostering an inclusive environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. The Manager of Lighting Sales will develop and execute outdoor lighting sales strategies, provide support to other departments, and represent Georgia Power at industry meetings. The Manager of Lighting Sales will develop sales goals for their individual team and each account executive, monitor and coach positive sales behaviors, develop and implement sales strategies and techniques to increase profitability and/or improve performance. This position will also coach and develop their account executives to achieve professional growth. This position will provide information and advice to senior management or other peers as well as have direct interaction with business-critical customers on regulated and unregulated lighting questions or topics to ensure overall company effectiveness and profitability. Additional responsibilities include support of external activities and storm restoration duties. This position can be located anywhere in Georgia.
**Job Requirements**
**Education and Experience:**
+ Preferred: Management and sales experience, leadership experience within or outside Southern Company.
+ Preferred: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in marketing, finance, or related field.
+ Preferred: Experience in the lighting industry and electric utility distribution engineering/construction.
+ Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
+ Demonstrated track record of success in jobs of diverse responsibilities.

+ Understanding of regulatory compliance and competitive issues related to unregulated products/services.
+ Knowledge and understanding of region operations, corporate functions, customer rates, rules and regulations, especially electric utility distribution engineering and construction.
+ Ability to develop and maintain effective and ethical business relationships with contractors and suppliers.
**Major Job Responsibilities**
+ Lead a statewide team of Lighting Account Executives and analysts to establish and maintain strong customer relationships in a cost-effective and profitable manner.
+ Develop and implement a lighting sales strategy that delivers net income growth while maintaining Georgia Power's industry-leading customer value levels.

+ Lead sales and account management efforts of the team by developing and assigning annual sales goals based on market analysis and profitability.
+ Achieve net income goals associated with profitable lighting sales, products, programs, and services through lead sales and account management efforts of the team.
+ Coordinate with various departments, such as Engineering, Billing, Distribution, Customer Service, Metering, Economic Development, Pricing and Rates, and Customer Choice to accomplish sales strategy and goals
+ Provide feedback to upper management on customer perspectives to help guide policies, practices, and initiatives while communicating with all levels to ensure that Georgia Power surpasses customer expectations.
+ Lead and/or participate in strategic external involvement efforts with key customers, segments, vendors, and/or industry allies to create or sustain profitable sales.
+ Serve on company and system committees that focus on various business improvement initiatives as needed as well as assigned storm duty initiatives (which could include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight travel).
+ Manage complex lighting sales, escalated calls, and contract renegotiations
