Royal Caribbean Group’s Supply Chain Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Manager, Logistics LGA reporting to the SVP Chief Supply Chain Officer.
This position is based in Weston, Florida.
Position Summary:
The position is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the staff engaged in Logistics, LGA (landed goods activities) for both operational and project and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes, and controls the activities related to the offloads of goods from the fleet in normal operations and during Ship constructions projects including: DryDocks, Modernizations, New Builds Organizes, manages, and directs the work of the employees in the assigned function; overseeing the assignment of duties, responsibilities, and workstations to employees; approves personnel actions such as new hire requests and discharges, to ensure proper staffing provides final approval for overtime needs. Manages all functions as it relates to the Logistics, landed goods operations (Reverse logistics / Returns) from Company vessels. (Marine, Hotel, and Food/Beverage). The role is heavily involved in managing third party providers (customs brokers, port agents, forwarders, and consolidators) who conduct the logistics activities. Logistics, LGA Manager collaborates with product owners from various internal departments (i.e., Purchasing, Logistics, Refurbishment, and Marine Operations) and Shipboard Operations to determine the disposition of landed goods Ensuring shipments move through the Global supply chain while managing everyday supervisory duties and urgent shipments that require expedited services Measure 3rd party warehouse KPIs and attends Quarterly Business Reviews with Logistics Procurement Manager Serves as administrator of the Logistics, LGA system, this involves troubleshooting, testing, and providing access to internal and external customers Develops SOPs to ensure a lean process with 3rd party warehouses is followed and carried out Manages the direction of third-party port agents, forwarders, and consolidators as to the disposition of landed (returned) goods. Also directs RCCL employees both shoreside and shipboard regarding the proper procedures to land, retrieve, forward, clear, warehouse, or dispose of landed goods. Works jointly with Logistics ‘Procurement’ Manager(s). Represents RCCL in meetings with US Customs to respond to audits, inquiries, or presentation of company policies and procedures. Conducts training for internal departments, warehouse personnel, and port agent personnel to utilize the Logistics, LGA system, publish routine LGA inventory reports, and advise appropriate disposition of landed product. Requires domestic and international travel to vessel port locations for the audit and quality assurance of company procedures and policies.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent preferred 10+ years' experience with import/export Managerial experience in a cruise line or maritime shipping environment related to procurement and/or supply chain function. Ability to manage the financial aspects of the assigned procurement function, including the successful identification of expense reduction through cost efficiencies. Ability to manage headcount within area. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques Knowledge of policies and practices involved in the Human Resources function. Ability to manage staff positively and productively by motivating, developing, and managing employees as they work. Ability to utilize and administer the disciplinary action process through coaching and counseling to improve performance or terminate employment. Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from, management, co-workers, shipboard employees, and vendors Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety of Microsoft software packages such as Excel and Word. Knowledge of automated accounting systems preferred.Financial Responsibilities:
Responsible for freight movement approvals including DHL, Fedex, FTL, LTL, LCL, FCL etc.
