Manages and supports the facility’s HVAC, utilities, and plant systems (i.e. compressors, water systems, etc.) Provides overall support to the plant and production systems by maintaining equipment, maintaining facilities, maintaining HVAC systems, and improving operations and facilities to meet current operational, plant growth, and increase plant productivity.  Specific duties include:

Manages and supervises technician(s) for support of the facility, HVAC, utilities, and plant systems.Demonstrates the Fresenius Core Values and Vision while ensuring direct reports do the same.Oversees and assists with repairing and maintaining plant systems.Monitors systems downtime and efficiency to ensure utilities, facilities, and system equipment is operational to achieve department goals and support plant wide production.Administers the preventive maintenance program for utilities and facilities. Develops and improves utility and facility preventative maintenance and preventative maintenance tracking and monitoring systems. Coordinates with Production Managers to standardize PM’s systems and create a validated PM system.Ensures proper spare parts are maintained to maximize uptime and efficiencies.Maintains fire alarm, power grid, and new construction projects at the site.Integrates the utilities and facilities PM, work orders, and machine histories into a useable package to assist in maximizing machine and process up time.Identifies safety issues and concerns; participates and may lead efforts in corrective actions.Completes projects to improve processes, equipment and machines in the plant or to increase capacity.Coordinates maintenance and engineering support activities with production and engineering groups. Supervises and makes assignments to the technicians assigned to support areas (HVAC, electrical, controls, mechanical, refrigeration, etc).Assists in the commissioning validation and qualification of new and existing machinery.Identifies and assists with upgrades to existing equipment.Modifies and develops controls hardware and controls software.Maintains general housekeeping of working area and plant.Provides leadership, coaching and development plans for all direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce; partners with Human Resources on employee matters.Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interprets and recommends change to policies and establishes procedures that effect immediate organization(s).Interacts with internal departments and external customers; particularly in problem resolution. Acts as an advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Responsible for hiring, coaching and counseling employees, including performance reviews, disciplinary action and terminations.

Requirements:

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field and 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.  Must also have had 3 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above) working with the following:

HVAC, electrical systems,  plumbing systems and control systems including  programming, calibrating, and optimizing control devices;An enterprise level Maintenance Management System;OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices;PLCs (Allen-Bradley), HMIs, SCADA systems and inspection systems and troubleshooting and programming in RSlogix 500, Studio 5000 and Factory Talk View SE;Packaging equipment (Fillers, Packers, Case erectors, etc.);Maintaining water system for product manufacturing (RO system, Deionization and Water Storage) and waste water system management; andDeveloping and implementing strategies for energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
