We are seeking a talented and motivated Manager, Marketing and Pipeline Management individual to join our team. This person will conduct market assessments, build forecasts, and provide commercial guidance for organic and inorganic pipeline projects from idea selection through product launch. This role will also manage the communication of those forecasts to other functions as needed to facilitate project decisions, planning, budgeting, and serve as a commercial forecasting subject matter expert.
Responsibilities:
Serves as a key Commercial representative in the pipeline idea generation process, providing commercial guidance on market and product attractiveness for both internal and external new product opportunities.
Research markets, customers, and competition, through primary sources and secondary data, and translates the findings into realistic commercial assumptions that support the forecast and into actionable commercial strategies.
Builds sales forecasts for organic and inorganic opportunities using market data, customer information, and internal analytics, presenting those forecasts to leaders in Commercial and other functions and defending assumptions made.
Advises product development teams on market and customer needs, ensuring product development decisions for new generic products align with those needs and fit with Hikma’s US Generics Commercial strategy.
Responsible for maintaining and compiling product forecasts for the entire pipeline from idea inception through product launch, along with the accurate reporting of those forecasts to enable production planning, budgeting, and the annual 5-year business plan process.
Compiles, tracks, and summarizes pipeline project information to enable accurate, effective communication of pipeline data to the Commercial team and customers.
Partners with Portfolio in a seamless transition of products from Pipeline to inline, communicating all baseline assumptions pre-launch and results from active launch.
Supports in-line portfolio or ad hoc forecasting efforts as needed, such as compilation of forecasts for Hikma’s Specialty Brands and high-level market projections.
Creates and maintains marketing materials for generics pipeline, including pipeline overviews, market boards, fact sheets etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or quantitative disciplines such as finance or statistics required.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in the US generics industry in a marketing, sales, or customer service role is required.
Prior experience building sales forecasts, analyzing market data, and interpreting market research is required.
Experience working with cross-functional project teams is essential; experience with those involved in new product development and product launch, especially of generic pharmaceuticals, is a plus.
Demonstrated proficiency in the analysis and interpretation of pharmaceutical market data such as IQVIA or Symphony data.
Proficient in using, building, and troubleshooting complex Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially related to summarizing market analyses and forecasting assumptions.
