Position Summary

Oversees execution of project plan integrating Meritain into VBC models and analytic support. Establish self as Subject Matter Expert for all things Meritain relative to inclusion of VBC. Effectively influencing value and efficient support of commercial VBC agreements.

Facilitate communications, documentation & training across organizations associated with Meritain integration

Participate directly in business requirements, specifications writing and testing (including ad hoc queries, etc.) as needed to keep project on track to implementation goals 

Support pilot and key provider VBC analytics to assure smooth rollout and reinforce SME knowledge with actual examples

Partners and consults with Actuarial, Network, Patient Management and Segment teams to provide medical cost analysis to assess effectiveness of managing costs creating and implementing plans to effectively manage medical costs based on analysis or trends.

 Conducts most complex variance analyses on actual versus expected results to effectively present results to senior leadership teams.

Implements processes to identify financial or operational risks opportunities to propose and execute a corrective course of action.

Improves accrual methodologies, allocations, workflow processes, and financial controls to increase overall productivity of the medical economics function.



Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• 3+ years prior experience

• Prior healthcare industry knowledge
• Set objectives and deliver results that have a significant impact within the context of a wider operational area
• Plans and sets objectives to deliver responsibilities that have a direct effect on the business results within the context of the functional area that the job is in
• Requires independent completion of work, where discretion is required within broader established operational boundaries of the function that job is in
• Recognized as subject matter expert
• Typically works independently and manages projects



Preferred Qualifications• Advanced skills in Excel, MS-Access and Web-based query tools (MCM, data warehouse). Ability to learn new technologies.• Strong analytical ability and familiarity with advanced financial and healthcare concepts.• Demonstrates critical thinking and expresses ideas clearly, concisely and logically from a cross functional perspective.• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently.• Demonstrates initiative, innovation and leadership in achieving results.

Education • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
