JR66485 Manager, MMP Lean ManufacturingAs Manager, MMP Lean Manufacturing, you will manage the implementation of Lean transformation methodologies and tools in Assembly/ Test/ MOD/ SSD manufacturing at MMP. You will collaborate closely with Site functional leadership teams to identify and enable critical initiatives that will produce a step-change improvement in throughput, labor productivity, yield and cycle time performance. Your thought-leadership will be integral in shaping the strategic direction, setting of goals & objectives and building a continuous improvement culture at MMP. Most importantly, you will build a First Of A Kind (FOAK) team with the potential of pioneering the Micron brand of Lean across the AT network.
Specific Responsibilities and Tasks
Manage the implementation of lean methodologies and tool adoption across Assembly/ Test/ MOD/ SSD manufacturing
Proliferate standardized Value Stream Mapping methodology to identify bottlenecks, key sources of wastes, key drivers to cycle timeOversee the generation of Utilization/ Overall Equipment Effectiveness waterfall charts to identify key sources of losses and improvement opportunitiesDefine and support labor productivity analysis e.g. Touch-time, MMR, spaghetti charts to improve operator/ technician efficiency and reduce operational errorsSupport site-level E2E cycle time or yield improvement initiativesServe as the key integrator between central & site functional teams in developing, driving and communicating progress for critical lean improvement initiatives
Ensure Lean team facilitates lean diagnostics and design of improvements, integrating key inputs from central and site functional teamsDevelop overall view of critical initiatives and impact to key performance indicatorsDeliver visibility on programme status, including key achievements with clear ownershipTrigger interventions to ensure programme are on-track towards targetsSupport regular cadence on reports/ meetings with senior leadership, including deep dives for weekly/ monthly reporting and ad-hoc senior management reportsEstablish a core team of Lean practitioners by co-developing a comprehensive Lean training package for new team members with standardized Lean approaches and tools
Co-develop comprehensive training material and immersive training plan for new Lean practitioners reporting to the Lean manufacturing team, leveraging expertise from the central teamInspire and empower budding lean practitioners to inculcate the spirit of continuous improvement, to build a culture of learning and growthPartner senior leadership to build a world-class work environment for team members
Exercise leadership through example, especially through difficult or ambiguous situationsDrive fact-based decision-making with focus on data analysis and communicationEncourage the obligation to dissent, where team members are expected to voice their objectionsEnsure integrity and clarity in communication, to develop culture of transparencyProvide visibility on performance measures, to ensure team members are clear on incentives for good performanceLeading Manual Touch Point Reduction (MTPR)
Lead the Manual Touch Point Reduction project for Micron Penang across Assembly/ Test/ MOD/ SSD manufacturing. Subject matter expert for identification of critical manual touch points in the manufacturing process thereby reducing the bottlenecks and defects caused in the production process Ensuring all Manual Touch Points are identified and eliminated, mitigated from the manufacturing process and thereby improving the process efficiency in terms of cost, cycle time and quality. Partner with Micron network sites to standardize the manual touch points and its solutions.Requirements
