Manager, Occupancy Planning Projects Team

The Manager for the Occupancy Planning Projects team will play a crucial role in developing occupancy strategy solutions and leading project engagements. The role oversees variable team members that execute short- to mid-term projects for a wide variety of real estate clients. 20-25% travel is possible for this role. This is a hybrid role and needs to be based out of a JLL office. 

 

This role will report to the Regional Lead for the Occupancy Planning Projects Team. The successful candidate will have a strong combination of Workplace and/or Occupancy Planning experience and the ability to manage workload for a regionally dispersed team. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Relationship Management / Delivery: 

Maintain strong working relationships with key clients. 

Serve as Project Manager for strategic projects, including client engagement management as needed. 

Oversee project financial status and invoicing. 

Act as an escalation point for delivery issues. 

Manage consistent delivery of Workplace & Occupancy Planning and ensure high level of execution and client satisfaction. 

 

People Management: 

Responsible for employee management including: onboarding, leading, developing, and mentoring team members, as well as HR-related activities such as PTO and leave requests. 

Manage direct reports and provide oversight/influence over additional staff as needed for successful project execution. 

Promotes a culture focused on clients, people and teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation. 

 

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelor’s degree required 

7+ years’ related experience: workplace strategy, architecture, consulting, corporate real estate, facilities management, project management, construction management, design, human resources, organizational development, communications or change management roles 

MBA, advanced degree and / or certifications desirable 

Impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written 

Strong time management skills – demonstrated ability to meet deadlines 

People management experience – preferred experience managing a team 

Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in an agile environment, including virtual collaboration with remote colleagues 

Managed multiple projects and coordinated activities by multiple individuals/groups 

Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative research data and synthesize into meaningful and actionable results 

Energetic, creative, and willing to work hard in a fast-paced environment; enjoys variety and the challenges of consulting work 

Workplace program implementation experience in a corporate setting, working alongside cross-functional real estate, facilities, IT, HR, Finance and change management teams, would be highly valuable 

Current knowledge of corporate enterprise IT infrastructure, tools and technologies desirable
