Position Summary\:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Business Services and in close collaboration with the Associate Director of Finance in Business Services, the Office of Business Services (“Manager”) is responsible for the day-to-day operational, licensing, marketing, and administrative functions of the Office of Business Services. The Manager will also be responsible for the strategic development and execution of communications supporting the Business Services portfolio, social media management, and monitoring of the departmental email inbox.
The Office of Business Services oversees and supports the auxiliary functions of the university, including dining services, bookstore, retail banking, venue management (Liacouras Center), pouring rights, hotel partnerships, and vending. The Office of Business Services is also responsible for the university trademark and licensing program.
Required Education and Experience\:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Educational Administration, Must have university experience in licensing, marketing, and communications fields. At least (4) years’ experience in high-priority environments and/or a university setting; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities\:
*Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as well as the willingness and ability to interact with a diverse population of individuals inside and outside the university, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to communicate the department’s mission effectively.
*Ability to effectively oversee operational requirements for Business Services, including FedEx, Vendor Management, University campus Banking Services, and Hotel partnerships.
*Ability to remain in compliance with university, state, federal, local, and any other entities Temple University interacts with.
*Ability to conduct complex financial and operational audits.
*Ability to collaborate with campus partners to broaden the reach of the temple brand.
*Must have strong writing skills, attention to detail, analytical skills, software skills, social media skills, interpersonal skills, deep understanding of target audiences, and the ability to quickly adapt.
*Ability to prioritize tasks and work with truncated due dates for action items.
Preferred Skills and Abilities\:
At least (5) years’ experience in high-priority environments and/or a university setting.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
