Job Summary Mercury Systems is implementing a world-class Operational Excellence COE and has an immediate opportunity for a results-driven, energetic and motivating Manager of Operations Excellence to lead continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational efficiency across our organization. This role will be responsible for implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, and change management. Key Responsibilities Include: * Process Improvement & Optimization * Lead and implement Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality. * Analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies and execute improvement plans that align with business objectives. * Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness. * Leadership & Strategy * Partner with cross-functional teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. * Provide coaching and training on Lean Six Sigma principles to employees at all levels. * Collaborate with senior leadership to drive cost reduction, productivity enhancements, and quality improvements. * Data-Driven Decision Making * Utilize statistical analysis, process mapping, and root cause analysis to solve complex operational challenges. * Implement and oversee performance dashboards, scorecards, and reporting systems to track progress. * Change Management & Training * Lead Kaizen events, workshops, and value stream mapping sessions to engage employees in continuous improvement efforts. * Act as a change agent, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and improvements. Required Qualifications & Skills: * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field. * Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. * 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations excellence, Lean Six Sigma, or continuous improvement roles. * Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies, DMAIC, and problem-solving techniques. * Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change. * Proficiency in data analysis tools (Minitab, Power BI, Excel, etc.). * Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders. * Ability to travel on average 25% per month. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: * Experience in manufacturing, defense, aerospace, semiconductor or high-reliability environments. * Experience in low volume, high mix multi-location organizations. * Knowledge of ISO standards, regulatory compliance, and operational risk management. * Knowledge of AS9100. * Familiarity with Oracle ERP or equivalent, and process automation tools.
