It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. St. Vincent’s is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network and is the system’s second-largest hospital. ** *Summary* Key member of the Operations team focusing on the implementation of Balanced Scorecard initiatives and strategic projectswhile leading implementation and optimization of regional priorities and capabilities that enhance operations, under the direction of Fairfield Region leadership, including the VP of Operations and VP of Patient Care Services.This position utilizes analytics, business and operational data, and information to drive organizational efficiency improvement and to execute strategic initiatives. This role alsomanages complex and high-profile initiatives that can impact both the Fairfield Region and across HHC. This position provides coaching and mentoring to direct reports and works with VP of Operations to develop and execute plans for implementation. *JOB RESPONSIBILITIES* · Advises, supports, assists, coordinates, and collaborates on strategic initiatives for the VP of Operations and Fairfield Region Vice Presidents. Initiatives to include, and not limited to, Operations Excellence and Effectiveness, Productivity, Position Control, and MAP. Resolves problems and ensures the successful implementation of organizational initiatives as well as operational management of Guest Services. · Provides management and analysis of business data for use in decision making and organizational efficiency improvement initiatives. · Leads, monitors, and contributes to special/ strategic projects in the Fairfield Region which are strategic in nature, highly complex, and involve creation and oversight of multifaceted teams. · Organizes, problem solves, raises issues, and integrates initiatives, solutions and actions for the VP of Operations and Vice Presidents. · Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring of direct reports to drive engagement and retention to deliver on balance scorecard goals. · Responsible for working with the Executive Sponsor of BSC initiatives to develop and execute implementation plans. *Education:*** · Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in health care management, or similar field of study. · Master’s Degree, preferably in health care management, or similar field of study preferred. *Experience:* · 3 years of management experience. · Experience managing budgets. · 3 years of data/analytics experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. · 3 years of project management experience with demonstrated success in implementing cross functional projects in a large, complex environment. · 5 years of hospital management experience preferred. · 5 years of project management experience preferred. · Lean/Six Sigma experience, preferably in a healthcare setting preferred. * * *Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:*** · Highlevelofanalyticalability togather andinterpret informationfromvarioussources. · Budget knowledge and skills, and experience with score metric monitoring and counter measure creation. · Strong knowledge of project management, stakeholder management and project status reporting. · Ability to juggle competing objectives, activities, and alternatives to meet stakeholders’ needs. · Strong ability to communicate effectively, both written, verbal, and effective listening. · Strong ability to communicate technical or complex information and present effectively. · Strong ability to monitor and manage the effectiveness ofdepartmental metrics and KPIs. · Team-player with the ability to collaborate with others. · Self-directed and utilizes available resources to enhance knowledge base and problem solve.** · Understanding business strategies and implementation processes. · Ability to identify,addressandresolve complexproblems.
