We are seeking a Manager, Operational Purchasing to join our Logistics team. You will be responsible for managing and leading the Operational Purchasing team and responsible for efficient operative performance.

This position is based in our West Perth office and we are able to offer some hybrid options. You report to In this position, you will report to the Director - Logistics Operations APA.

 

What you’ll do

Manage and lead Operational Purchasing team(s) in MA to execute purchases and expediting timely and efficiently Responsible for efficient operative performance monitoring and follow up (daily/weekly/monthly execution practices), corrective actions and related reporting Individual reviews, training, coaching and development for the team Ensuring demand requirements are understood and achieved, including regular internal stakeholder communication to understand business requirements Lead strong exception management and problem-solving culture Ensuring QA inspections etc. are coordinated where required Establishing, communicating and monitoring targets and performance standards Support quotation process with effective supplier master data management Conducting all business transactions consistent with Metso’s Global Procurement policies, procedures & guidelines, legal requirements, regulations, and ethical standards Lead people according to Metso Leadership Principles
