UPMC Revenue Cycle is hiring a Manager to support Patient Arrival staff at UPMC Somerset. The position will typically work Monday through Friday during daylight hours. In this role, you will be leading staff in registering patients in the Emergency Department. We are looking for someone flexible and willing to support staff during all shifts and days required for working in the Emergency Department.
As the Manager, you will utilize resources to deliver quality intake services to our customers and contribute to the achievement of the organization’s financial objectives. The Manager is primarily responsible for the direct oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Patient Arrival Department. Supporting the registration activities of patients, financial counseling, scheduling, and all revenue functions. The Manager will ensure a positive customer service atmosphere in all interactions. The Manager shall demonstrate the philosophy and core values of UPMC in the performance of duties.
Responsibilities:
Manage ongoing training programs for staff development. Participate on committees as assigned. Responsible for budget reconciliation. Maintain work standards, KPI’s and productivity for all activities under the Manager’s control. Provides on-call support to staff in the event of problems and/or staffing concerns Communicate regularly and effectively with subordinates and superiors regarding the status of the business operation. Complete or manage the completion of all necessary human resource documentation, adhering to all human resources expectations for associates, including compliance, related responsibilities, continuing education requirements, recognition of staff/team accomplishments etc. Ensure that all policies, procedures, job descriptions, reports and other documentation are properly followed. Carry out special assignments or projects as assigned. Performs duties and job responsibilities in a manner that promotes the core values of UPMC (Quality and Safety; Dignity and Respect; Caring and Listening; Excellence and Innovation; Responsibility and Integrity) in all consumer and UPMC interactions.
