Manager, Patient Voices & Mission Experiences
**What you will do**
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for elevating the patient experience to reinforce Amgen’s mission of keeping them at the center of everything we do, and work cross-functionally with enterprise-wide internal partners to ensure alignment on patient voices for maximum effectiveness and efficiency. This will be a remote role based in the United States and will report to the Director, Patient Voices.
**The following are key responsibilities and elements of this role:**
+ Lead project management and strategic operations for Patient Voices partnering with Mission Experiences team
+ Find opportunities to highlight Amgen’s mission of serving patients (e.g., facilitating patient speaking opportunities at internal meetings)
+ Develop strategic communications/branding plans to convey Patient Voice initiatives and successes to internal and external audiences
+ Support on events that drive collaboration within the Advocacy community, such as the Policy and Stakeholder Summits
+ Oversee the lifecycle of patient engagement in partnership with Advocacy leads, including intake and contracting, material creation and patient filmings, and distribution of assets via the Patient Library
+ Support on development and execution of Amgen’s annual Mission Week programming, including site-based Mission Patient Panels
+ Day-to-day lead on CoreUs – responsible for developing and executing yearly engagement plan as part of Mission Experiences programming
+ Lead strategic planning and pull through for Amgen sites and affiliates to form CoreUs chapters and create and implement yearly plan
+ Work with cross-functional colleagues to support the growth and development of CoreUs, Amgen’s internal network of employee patients and caregivers
+ Collaborate with senior leadership to development and implement strategies that drive organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and clarity to improve patient-centric decision-making
+ Collect and analyze internal feedback to identify Patient Voice trends and areas for improvement

**Basic Qualifications:**
Doctorate degree
**Or**
Master’s degree and 2 years of advocacy and corporate affairs experience
**Or**
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of advocacy and corporate affairs experience
**Or**
Associate’s degree and 8 years of advocacy and corporate affairs experience
**Or**
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of advocacy and corporate affairs experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Sensitivity to diverse groups of people both internal and external with the ability to manage many different opinions and perspectives, including tolerance for ambiguity.
+ Demonstrated reputation internally and externally as a well-respected, dynamic team-player.
+ Experience managing strategic planning processes at a multinational organization.
+ Empathic and hardworking individual with the ability to build meaningful connections with partners.
+ Demonstrated understanding of key external and internal trends affecting patient engagement; solid understanding and experience in new forms of patient/consumer interactions such as social media and patient online communities.
+ Previous experience in advocacy and/or corporate affairs, working with key stakeholder groups.
+ Capable of handling shifting priorities in a constantly evolving environment.
+ Understands the pharma/biotech business model, regulatory process & compliance guidelines.
+ Experience with regulated product launches.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
