Job Description:

This position, Manager, PCB design, is responsible for leading the Clifton PCB design Engineering team. You will have direct influence on program designs and proposal efforts, staffing, and overall performance of the PCB design team. You will be responsible for leading a team of 6 designers and developing collaborative relationships with Engineering Managers, Program Leadership, and group leaders to support needs of the business. Your role will result in better coordination and support across key stakeholder groups. This is a hybrid-based position.

Essential Functions:

Partner with program teams to ensure programs are correctly staffed,  PCB design processes are being followed, and proposal efforts are supportedResponsible for performance of the Clifton PCB design group within the Digital CCA department including staffing, training, onboarding, employee development, engagement and proactive retentionEstablish metrics to drive year-over-year performance improvementCollaborate with site leadership to drive and assist understanding of new L3Harris tools and processes and flow down Division information to the site PCB teamServe as PCB functional representative for site specific design reviews and review/approval of proposals and Basis of Estimates (BOEs) as neededProvide technical evaluation and oversight of program execution and lead/participate in technical issue resolution teams when requiredEnsure knowledge transfer and pairing of less experienced engineers with more experienced PCB design engineers is establishedWhile this position is primarily local to the Clifton site, travel may be required to support various program

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field and minimum 9 years prior related PCB design experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.3 or more years Functional Management Experience leading small teams3 or more years designing PCBs to IPC Class three (3) requirementsPrior or current experience with Xpedition suiteAbility to obtain a U.S. security clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience with PADSIPC Certification CID or CID+Experience using Xpedition 2.11Experience with Cadence AllegroExperience using Agile PLM or Teamcenter PLMSiemens EDA Valor expertiseSiemens EDA EDM expertiseKnowledge of how to create stack upsFamiliar with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
