Manages and provides operational and nursing leadership ensuring the quality of nursing care within preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative areas. Plans and organizes operations and resources to ensure effective and efficient delivery of patient care consistent with applicable laws, standards and regulations. Provides patient care and acts as a resource person to the staff and assures patient care needs are met in the department. Demonstrates critical thinking skills and, in collaboration with other disciplines, surgeons, anesthesiologists, is able to coordinate unit activities, staffing plans and contributes to resolving inter and intra departmental problems. Assesses the quality of care delivered and provides input for staff mentoring/evaluation, staffing, hiring, performance management and general daily operation of the unit.Establishes protocols and practices, ensuring compliance with department, affiliate, operating unit, and/or system standards, policies and procedures, the Joint Commission (TJC) standards, and applicable laws and regulations. Provides guidance and/or direct intervention in resolving challenging or complex situations.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred: Master's degree
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
RN-Registered Nurse of California
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
ACLS
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
8 years of acute care experience working in Perioperative
8 years management, supervisory or team lead experience

Pay Range is $95.45 to $152.72 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
