About the Role The Manager Pharmacy is responsible for the efficient operation of the pharmacy department. Directs and guides the provision of pharmaceutical care and products and any other service programs within the pharmacy. This position establishes standards of quality productivity and performance with SelectRx policies and procedures and requirements of state and federal regulatory agencies. Assists with but not limited to developing maintaining and implementing the policies and procedures of the Pharmacy Department. Will adhere to the Mission Vision Values and Goals of the SelectRx and strives for achievement of customer service and satisfaction of all clients. Consistently comply and adhere to the professional practices and management of all Pharmacy Department Associates. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has supervisory responsibility for all employees in the Pharmacy department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Directs coordinates and supervises all pharmacy activities in the department or division for which responsibility is delegated. Responsible for the planning supervision coordination and successful execution of all activities related to the pharmacy’s operations. Initiates and implements Quality Improvement for the department. Supervises departmental personnel including; hiring orientation training monitoring determining workload and delegating assignments scheduling and evaluating performance (on an annual basis or as needed with HR Manager) and initiative corrective and disciplinary actions. Conduct and/or attend SelectRx meetings when planned/requested to include Pharmacist Pharmacy Technician Data Entry Delivery Administrative and Organization Monthly Meetings. Implement and adhere to SelectRx policies and procedures. Operate within the professional standards in compliance with Federal State and local regulations. Performs professional duties and responsibilities associated with the processing of prescriptions to meet SelectRx objectives and personally maintains a high level of customer satisfaction. Dispense check and verify all prescription and health related product orders are processed in accordance with Federal State local laws and regulations governing the dispensing of medications and other healthcare related products. Assist with the development use analysis and feedback of performance measurement indicators processes and audits. Aggressively works to maintain and exceed quality standards. Assist VP of Operations and Quality Improvement Manager in implementation of audit and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with SelectRx and regulatory requirements. Review and/or prepare various pharmacy audit/utilization reports and implement cost saving initiatives. Constantly strive to ensure profitable operations of the Pharmacy Department. Participate in rotation of weekday and weekend Pharmacy On-Call Program. Maintain outstanding working relationships with all pharmacy associates. Mentoring pharmacists and pharmacy management teams to increase their efficiency and productivity. Ensure prompt and courteous customer service by all pharmacy associates. Develops and maintains professional relationships with the medical community in which SelectRx serves. Work closely with the Customer Service Department to resolve customer complaints or concerns and implement corrective action plans. Always exhibits and commands common courtesy professionalism and respect when interacting with associates. Market the positive image of SelectRx throughout the local communities. Always maintains confidentiality in dealing with all clients and company information. Does not inappropriately access listen to or distribute any sensitive information or allow others to do so. Performs duties and responsibilities according to the philosophy and standards of SelectRx including conveying courtesy respect enthusiasm and positive attitudes in work situations with clients peers and visitors; maintains client and associate confidentiality. This individual is responsible for understanding all the applicable policies and procedures of the department necessary to perform essential job functions as well as the employee handbook. Proficiency in reading writing and speaking English is required Education and Experience: B.S. Pharmacy degree or Pharm. D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy Must hold a valid RPH license 5+ years of relative pharmacy work experience 2+ years of demonstrable experience in a managerial capacity at a pharmacy Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
