JOB SUMMARY

Manages refinery’s process control and automation team including engineers and technical specialists. Assure prompt and effective action is taken to resolve technical problems and minimize repetitive discrepancies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required) In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Two (2) or more years Supervisory experience (Required) Six (6) or more years Process engineering experience in refining industry (Required) No Licensure or Certification Required. JOB REQUIREMENTS Process Controls Process Engineering Interpersonal Skills Product Blending Decision and Risk Analysis Issues Management Troubleshooting Risk Management Manages team of Process Controls Engineers Assists engineering leadership with design of control strategies through achieving and sustaining improvements in advanced process controls, loop tuning, inferential estimator and complex PID (proportional integral derivative) loops. Utilizes knowledge of DCS (distributed control system), PLCs (programmable logic controllers), instruments, analyzer, process networks in process control configuration and implementation. Ensures adherence to corporate standards, guidelines and performance metrics to define, implement and promote optimal utilization and benefits of process control engineering solutions. Work collaboratively with refinery engineering staffs to develop and implement instrument equipment best practices across the refinery. Analyzes and evaluates how to improve a system and/or equipment's sustainability under continued operation, maintenance and unexpected change While this job description aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the role, it may not detail every task or responsibility required.
