Execute HbI Procurement processes in assigned category or Business Unit that meet the Company’s dynamic business strategies and needs. These processes include governance of Company spend, 7- Step Sourcing process, contracts, AQSCIR model, Total Cost of Ownership tracking system, Preferred Vendor List program, Procurement platforms, and payment systems, general Procurement processes.

 

Responsibilities

Conduct regular stakeholder interaction, including managers, senior managers, and directors. Demonstrate partnership with Category Team or Business Unit (Design, Marketing, Merchandising, Planning, Finance, PD, Ops, etc.). Serve as the primary communication link between the Category Team or Business Unit Leader and Regional Category Managers. Work on timeline/calendar processes and communication around these partners. Provide oversight on specific projects as they occur within a season. • Collaborate with internal “matrix” partners as well as external partners. Collaborate internally across functional areas to understand and incorporate business constraints where appropriate. Responsible for accumulating, distilling, rationalizing, and distributing all information related to execution against expectations, both internal and external. Practical adoption and use of the Category Management cross-functional process to deliver Procurement strategies for each Category or Business Unit. Evaluate risk, threats, and opportunities in the global materials marketplace on an ongoing basis; recommend and facilitate changes as needs and opportunities arise. Challenge existing ways of working in pursuit of opportunities for cost reduction, value improvement, and application of lean processes. Adoption, adaptation, and use of relevant e-procurement tools & systems. Delivery of goods and services against the Procurement business model of AQSCIR in a measurable fashion. Leadership in ensuring quality components, supplier processes, and service levels. Act as a liaison between the procurement function and local business to help shape strategic planning, including advising on procurement strategies, ensuring information flow between procurement and business, and monitoring goal achievements. Accountable for obtaining goods/services required by the organization, including Indirect Operations (e.g., Office Supplies, Computers, Travel, Maintenance, Machine Parts, etc.). Conduct product/service sourcing, supplier selection, pricing/terms negotiation, order processing, contract administration, and supplier performance management. Conduct research, analysis, and provide recommendations in areas such as purchase analytics, current purchase mix, supply market review, sourcing strategy development, RFI/RFP recommendations and analysis, quote/bid analysis, and preparing buyers for vendor negotiations. Identify tools, templates, and best practice approaches to apply to supported categories and may support cross-functional teams. Manage projects/processes, work independently with limited supervision, and coach and review the work of lower-level professionals. Address difficult and sometimes complex problems.

 

Minimum Education/ Experience

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years relevant work experience OR Master's + 3+ relevant work experience; 4+ years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.

 

Preferred Education/ Experience

MBA preferred.

 

Specific Skills or Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business, supply chain, or a related field; MBA preferred. 5+ years of experience of relevant professional experience. Working knowledge of assigned spend area and related supply markets is desirable. Familiarity and experience with use of formal Category Management approach to Procurement is desirable. Familiarity and experience with use of e-procurement tools and systems is desirable. Understands the process of Production Management. Understands Material Planning
