Royal Caribbean Group’s Product Analytics Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Manager, Product Analytics reporting to the Director, Product Analytics.

 

This position will be working onsite from Miami.

 

Position Summary:

The Product Analytics Manager is an integral part of the Product Development team, responsible for strategic planning and analysis across ships and private destinations to identify both short and long-term opportunities. This role is instrumental in shaping our product portfolio and business strategies through data-driven insights, requiring a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategies. The manager will lead a team of analysts to conduct in-depth analyses, identify performance trends, understand customer behaviors, and maintain a strong grasp of competitive landscapes to guide strategic decisions.

They will elevate the impact of analytics by using data to drive decision-making and creating concise presentations that effectively communicate insights through compelling narratives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, capable of presenting insights to senior leadership and collaborating across departments to ensure our products meet market demands and drive business growth.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead comprehensive data analysis efforts, employing advanced analytical techniques to uncover performance trends, customer behaviors, and competitive insights. Perform in-depth analytics, including extreme data crunching and connecting performance across various data sets throughout the company to answer strategic business questions. Manage and support strategic projects in collaboration with the innovation and development teams to help shape future initiatives such as new ship classes, modernizations, and private destinations. Establish comprehensive frameworks for conducting product performance reviews, ensuring consistency and accuracy in evaluating product success and proactively identifying areas of opportunity. Possess the ability to see both the big picture and the finer details, setting a clear and strategic vision while ensuring meticulous attention to understanding the underlying reasons and delivering actionable insights. Develop compelling narratives that clearly convey data-driven insights through concise and impactful presentations, translating analytics into stakeholders' native language to make complex concepts simple to understand. Develop business case models to evaluate strategy and forecast the performance of future company initiatives. Oversee and manage the use of analytical tools and platforms, such as Power BI and SQL, to ensure efficient data processing, visualization, and reporting. Manage and train a team of analysts with diverse skill sets, ensuring the development of both their technical competencies and strategic insights. Passionate about guest centric analytics, deriving insights and telling guests’ stories to help create new and exciting experiences. Connect the corporation's performance through Revenue, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Guest satisfaction data to educate and surface insights for new experiences and product improvements. Provide clear and actionable direction to team members, ensuring alignment with project goals and company objectives. Collaborate cross functionally to create and share new analyses, updates and opportunities that enrich the organization’s knowledge. Knowledge and Skills:

Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.  Technical Skills: Advanced SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other Data Visualization tool preferred. Strong knowledge of the cruise industry preferred. Analytical: Using logic and reasoning along with data to identify the strengths and opportunities of alternative solutions and conclusions.  Complex Problem Solving: Ability to identifying the root cause of complex problems, develop options and recommend solutions. Presentation: Strong aptitude to present complex data analyses into simple, concise, and engaging stories that bring insights to the forefront. Active Listening: Giving full attention to what other people are communicating and taking time to understand points being made. Negotiating and Persuasion: Bringing others together to try to reconcile differences and persuading others to your point of view. Project Management: Collaborate with various teams to align and influence strategic decision-making process. Strong Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring data and insights presented are accurate.

 

Qualifications:

Four-year Bachelor's or equivalent required; MBA preferred 5+ years of relevant work experience in analytics, strategy and/or business intelligence or related field Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of personnel.  Strong PC skills are required. Strong analytical skills – with a proficient ability to read/write SQL queries for data analysis. Strong understanding of relational database concepts Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and strong storytelling skills for technical and non-technical audiences MS office tools i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of leveraging data insights to influence business decisions. Strong and effective communication, presentation and written skills and ability to work in global environment. Collaborative, self-motivated with a desire to lead strategic problem solving, execution and ownership.
