Job Description:

Please note: This is a hybrid position located in our corporate headquarters in Elmhurst, IL with the expectation of 2-3x per week in office

The Manager, Product Management is responsible for the lifecycle of new technology products or feature enhancements. Researches and develops the roadmap for new products or feature enhancements and plans and oversees the product lifecycle. Gathers insights from stakeholders and the marketplace to understand needs, new technologies, and trends in the market. Guides the conceptualization, requirements gathering, specification creation, release, and implementation processes. Ensures that product delivery schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development are coordinated with stakeholders to successfully release new products on time and within budget. 

Key Job Responsibilities (up to a maximum of 10 and add % of time working in responsibility)

Perform as a “working leader” managing a team of product owners and business analysts while having ownership of at least one software product as a product manager.Create and maintain a roadmap of features and enhancements for multiple areasMaintain high degree of job knowledge and subject matter expertise in multiple assigned areasEngages with software end users via interviews, site visits, and other forms of user researchFacilitate change adoption and business readiness for new features and products; including creating and facilitating training content as necessaryCollaborate with cross functional internal teams to ensure new product initiatives are delivered with alignment from all key stakeholdersProvide regular data driven analysis and recommendations to iterate and improve the products and features for multiple assigned areasCreate and submit project and user story requests for assigned areasAssist in the design of technical solutions to satisfy desired business outcomes and support testing of developed featuresAdheres to and suggests and implements improvements to product management standards & practices, including using Agile methodologyEstablishes positive working relationships with team, department, and key stakeholdersManage business analysts and product owners in a matrixed environmentConducts competitive research on assigned areaAssists with managing product portfolio strategy and roadmap for their assigned areasAssists in company-wide prioritization and resource allocation
 

Education and/or Experience Required (including certifications; if experience is required, add years of experience needed)

Bachelor's degree or equivalent6+ years related business experience4+ years experience as a product owner or manager4+ years experience with supporting/facilitating projects for cloud based technology4+ years experience with agile3+ years experience managing peopleAdvanced understanding of Project Life Cycle management controlsAgile Product Owner Certification preferred

Required Skills/Abilities 

Excellent written communication skillsExcellent verbal communication skillsExcellent presentation skillsExcellent, demonstrated ability to identify risks to project schedules and organization readiness for planned changes across multiple areasStrong data analysis skills, including experience with SQL or other query techniquesFunctional knowledge of multiple business & technology areas across teamsExcellent, demonstrated ability to identify, suggest, and implement solutions for process or technology improvementsExperience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologiesAbility to manage and delegate work as part of a team in a matrix environment

Compensation Details:

$160,000 - $190,000 / Year

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience. 

Supplemental Pay: 

This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
