Job Summary
Oversee production staff and equipment, ensuring that production goals and quality standards are being met and ensures the implementation of company polices.
Essential FunctionsPrepares Manpower, Line capacity and budget recommendations for upper management to meet system MPS, accessories, debug and refurbishment needsResponsible for establishing and maintaining acceptable quality levels for all assigned products including failure investigation and root cause as necessary including resolution of workmanship issuesAllocates personnel to ensure equitable distribution of work and maximizes the effective use of available personnel to ensure cost effective manufacturing including line efficiency reporting and overtime controlUtilizes Lean and Six Sigma techniques to ensure the most cost-effective manufacturing process is being utilized and materials are always availableEstablish and implement training programsAssists supervisors in completing performance appraisals, prepares rate increase and/or promotional recommendations including time management reporting and approval
Required/Preferred Education and ExperienceBS or AS in a technical field or equivalent requiredMinimum of 6 six years supervisory experience running a final assembly and test manufacturing line required andPreferably 2-3 years managerial experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong interpersonal skillsStrong written and communication skillsLean Manufacturing certification preferredSix Sigma green belt or higher preferredCPIM certification preferredMust be proficient in Office programsQSR experience a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills
