Job Summary
Responsible for meeting customer demand, while maintaining quality, safety, and lowest cost. Participate in developing and leading Production Supervisors and Material/Planning team in the day-to-day operations of adhesives operations. Allowing the Johns Creek facility to transition into a Product Assembly focused operation. Create and maintain a culture that employees aspire to. Participate and develop strategic goals for adhesives operations that enable successful year over year growth of KPI’s.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Develop methods that ensure continually improving operations and methods, utilization of skills and man-hours, material and workflow to assure timely production and quality standards.Organize and assign work; instruct, guide and otherwise assist Production Supervisors in the performance of their work.Develop Operational metrics that drive continuous improvement in the production cells.Participate in the development of multi-value stream collaboration that increases performance and velocity of materials through the production process.Ensure financial responsibility to plan, as well as appropriate allocation of production spending.Provide support as required to Engineering, Manufacturing Services, Customer Service, Sales, etc.Participate in Company programs, e.g. communications, apprenticeship and job training, vacation schedules, job evaluation, employee appraisal, wage administration etc.Develop methodologies/programs that ensure the use of safety devices and equipment, supervise departmental housekeeping and maintain constant alert for hazardous conditions.Maintain an adequately skilled work force consistent with planning requirements and work levels.Maintain conformance with Company work rules and regulations, issue warnings, for violations and administer approved disciplinary measures when necessary.Perform any other duties as assigned.Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related Operational fieldEquivalent five to eight year's related industrial/leadership experience.Minimum 4 years relevant experience. Supervisory experience is a plus.Skills and Abilities
Familiar with Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word and PowerPointKnowledge of SAP/Materials management software toolsAbility to read engineering prints and interpret test specificationsEffectively communicate appropriate policies and procedures.Excellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skillsHighly self-motivated and directed. Physical Demands: The position will require a proven record of high performance, accountability, and reliability in a leadership role. This leader directs and controls all elements of the production network, operating within the capital and operating budget at the highest levels of service. A constant focus on customer service and cost excellence is critical for success. Operational experience is a must.
