Manager, Property Tax

Our Real Estate Property Tax Services practice is seeking to hire a Manager to work on tax consulting and valuation projects. 

 

Note this position can be based in any of the following locations: Houston (preferred), Austin, or Richardson

 

Day-to-day responsibilities: 

Performing in-depth client, industry, and general market research Contributing to the development of presentations, proposals, and publications Development of fair market value opinions using traditional business and property valuation techniques such as Discounted Cash Flow, Income Capitalization, Market, and Replacement Cost Approaches Assisting others as well as managing your own caseload of client properties, which would include preparing and filing administrative appeals, preparing presentation materials and attending administrative hearings, and submitting refund claims Assisting with preparation of tax projection scenarios for pre- and post-acquisition due diligence Assisting with client management and invoicing

 

Essential traits: 

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Real Estate or similarly related field OR a minimum of 4 years property tax related work experience Minimum 2 years of property tax related experience TDLR License Required  Proficient in Excel and Word  Strong analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong personal integrity Ability to travel as necessary
