The Manager, Proposal Management is responsible for the strategic vision and management of the Proposal Management team. This is a player/coach role that includes managing multiple Proposal Writers responsible for the successful development of responsive, compliant, and persuasive proposals through effective collaboration across internal teams.

 

Starting base pay for this role is between $102,024 - $128,772. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).

Responsibilities Creates, owns, and communicates a long-term strategy for the proposal management process.Provides monthly updates of complete, active, and upcoming opportunities to Sales team.Partners with Sales, Account Management, and other key stakeholders to ensure optimal support is provided throughout the sales cycle.Communicates with Sales, Account Management, and Professional Services to track upcoming solicitations. Creates and establishes processes and procedures for the team to operate effectively and efficiently.Applies experience and best practices in proposal management to ensure the timely delivery of proposal submissions that are fully compliant with solicitation instructions.Manages the composition and workload of team members by developing proposal schedules and author assignments.Assists in completing security questionnaires and other proposal-related requests for prospective clients.Oversees the maintenance of Origami’s content management system and ensures responses are accurate and provide the appropriate amount of detail.Becomes knowledgeable of business objectives of prospects and our product/service offerings and develops expertise in our value proposition.Provides coaching and oversight of each team member to ensure productivity and quality. Performs team member review, evaluation, and compensation processes. Manages all team members with the goal of enhancing professional development and personal growth.Identifies, provides, and coordinates additional trainings opportunities for team members. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a related discipline required.7+ years of proposal management and content management experience. Prior B2B SaaS experience strongly preferred.Prior experience leading and mentoring a team of Proposal Writers required.Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and RFPIO.Ability to use standard English writing styles to write proposal sections; this includes information research and synthesis from resources (subject matter experts, previous proposals) into a cohesive, easy-to-read, and persuasive final.Relevant experience with software technology platforms and persona.Experience implementing and enhancing processes and procedures related to proposal management.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to build relationships and support key internal stakeholders within the sales ecosystem.Ability to take ownership of project delivery, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Proposal Management training certificate (i.e. Shipley) strongly preferred.
