Position Summary

Work you’ll do

As a Pursuit Manager/Proposal Writer, you’ll use your writing skills and experience to:

Support priority bid opportunities for business pursuits at Deloitte ConsultingCollaborate with pursuit leads, proposal managers, graphic designers, pursuit coaches, and client service teams to build creative, innovative materialWrite executive summaries and pursuit materials that articulate our strategic messaging in a compelling, persuasive mannerCapture, shape, and synthesize information to reflect a cohesive message, written in one voiceTranslate spoken or written technical information and business jargon into clear, consistent, grammatically correct contentDemonstrate a finely tuned ability to listen to pursuit strategy discussions and extract significant information and action itemsEngage with pursuit teams strategically, posing questions that draw out essential messagingBring one-voice consistency to documents pieced together by multiple authors while preserving the business pursuit strategy and messagingPrioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentWork in both virtual and onsite environments, at times traveling to work with teams in various Deloitte offices

The successful candidate will possess:

Exceptional written and oral communication skillsAgility and speed in executing strong writingAbility to summarize complex concepts in documents for executive audiencesA quasi-journalistic ability to quickly grasp specialist knowledge and make it clearStrong executive presenceAbility to come up with and present pitches for creative themes, metaphors, taglines, and other textAbility to prioritize in a fast-paced, challenging, deadline-driven environmentExceptional project management skills

Qualifications

Required:

Undergraduate degree in English, journalism, communications, humanities, liberal arts, or a related discipline8+ years of relevant experience (such as writing proposals or grants)Limited sponsorship may be availableAbility to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

 The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,000.00-$191,000.00.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
