Position:  Quality Manager     

Position Summary:

A company’s people and culture are the one true advantage that can’t easily be replicated by its competitors.  As a Quality Manager with LCN, your role is to harness the power of employees and culture to create a quality organization that enables the transformation of our business.  The Quality Manager is responsible for daily management of product quality and reliability.  Act as a liaison with customers, suppliers and all internal support functions with respect to the management of quality and reliability with the objective of continuous improvement of products and processes. The Quality Manager is responsible for driving improvements to existing products as well as new product development within the key systems commercial product lines. The Quality Manager will collaborate with Product Management to develop product road maps, establish project priorities, and guide direct reports in the timely completion of these projects.  The Quality Manager has the overall technical responsibilities for the quality of the products as it relates to these lines.

The Quality Manager is a critical plant staff level leadership position and will be expected to play a strong role in assisting the Plant Manager in developing and implementing operational strategies and methods to improve plant performance.

Serve as ISO 9000 management representative.Develop/improve LCN Quality systemProvide SPC (Statistical Process Control) support and training.Manage internal quality audits.Obtain and communicate quality-related metrics.Manage the non-conforming material process.Manage the gage calibration/receiving inspection processes.Address safety and environmental issues within area of responsibility to ensure a safe work environment.Develop and implement short-term and long-term corrective action plans to improve product and process quality, cycle time and equipment downtime.Oversee Quality System and productivity in area of responsibility.Manage projects to a documented, verifiable completion.Support LCN and Allegion Quality requirements and assist with developmentManage the supplier quality engineering process.Attend training opportunities deemed necessary by management.Demonstrate Allegion Leadership Competencies and Values

Experience and Skills Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.10 years’ experience in manufacturing environment leading Quality, Manufacturing Operations or Engineering OrganizationsContinuous Improvement: Lean experience is highly desirableSolid analytical skills necessary to reach sound conclusions.  Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.Ability to work in and develop a team environmentDemonstrated documentation and follow-through skills.Strong computer skills, knowledge of personal computer applications required (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.)Ability to travel up to 20%
