**Manager of Quality**
**Position Overview:**
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of the facility's quality, safety, and risk management programs. This role ensures that all processes related to patient care, outcomes, and regulatory compliance are continuously assessed, evaluated, and improved. The Quality Manager will oversee medical staff quality processes, direct survey readiness activities, and manage the credentialing of medical staff. In addition, this role is responsible for implementing High Reliability and Safety initiatives and ensuring consistency in facility policies and practices. The position reports directly to the local or regional Chief Quality Officer.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the development and management of quality and safety processes within the facility.
+ Oversee the Risk Management Program and work to assess and evaluate risk in patient care and outcomes.
+ Coordinate quality improvement activities, including medical staff quality processes.
+ Ensure regulatory compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulations through continual survey readiness activities.
+ Supervise the credentialing process for medical staff.
+ Facilitate the implementation of High Reliability and Safety practices within the facility.
+ Collaborate with Quality Officers, Executive Leaders, Medical Staff, Department Leaders, and Hospital Staff to promote quality initiatives.
+ Maintain and ensure consistency in facility policies and practices.
**Qualifications:**
+ **Education:** Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
+ **Experience:**
+ Minimum of five (5) years in an acute care facility.
+ At least one (1) year of experience in Quality Management is required.
+ Strong working knowledge of Quality Improvement principles and statistical methodologies.
+ Experience in regulatory compliance oversight (Joint Commission, CMS, State regulations).
+ **Licenses/Certifications:**
+ Current RN licensure by the Mississippi State Board of Nursing, or certification/registration pertinent to a healthcare-related field, is required.
+ **Skills:**
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to develop and maintain relationships with various leaders and staff across the health system.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and healthcare computer systems.
