Job Description

       JOB SUMMARY

       Manages Quality Assurance Department at pipe manufacturing facility and coordinates quality and lab-related activities. Oversees Quality Management System audits and product certification audits.

 

       JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.Manages the Quality Management System, which includes International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification and Application Programming Interface (API) Q1 and product certifications such as API 5CT, API 5L.Monitors the Tensile Management program to ensure American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and API requirements for sampling, testing, and ultimately the product requirements are met.Implements pipe mill metallography program to verify and monitor weld setups on mills.Creates and manages Internal Specification Sheets for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERW) products.Maintains operation and certification of laboratory equipment and QA procedures and training to meet ISO 9001:2015 requirements.Coordinates special projects directed from Plant Management.Manages testing and reporting of customer product claims and customer sample requests, incoming raw material products, and plant trials.Performs other duties as they might be assigned.Regular and predictable, full-time, on-site attendance during scheduled hours

       EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Associate degree or bachelor's degreeNon-Destructive Testing (NDT) level 2 certification, preferred5 year experience in steel pipe and tube manufacturing environment

       KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

Working knowledge of ISO, API, and ASTM standardsWorking knowledge of manufacturing and construction processesStrong knowledge of MS Office programsStrong written and verbal communication skills Job Footer (US)
