THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Manager, Quality Engineering, you will be responsible for the overall test strategy and execution to ensure efficient, high-quality product deliveries. You will lead a team of test engineers in the design, documentation, and implementation of quality processes. This role is also responsible for improving test reliability, automating testing, and aligning software with best practices, ultimately enhancing product quality.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Establish, communicate, and implement the overall test strategy to our business partners and IT Leadership.

Lead a team of Test Engineers in the design, documentation, and implementation of required quality processes, standards and best practices while driving a culture of professionalism, high performance and accountability, support, and development.

Leverage key performance indicators to monitor and gauge performance, providing feedback and support as needed to drive performance.

Direct the implementation of continuous quality improvements across the team to improve reliability of tests, improved speed in remediation of issues, alignment with software requirements and proactively measures overall quality of the product.

Directs team in proper root-case analysis and other problem-solving techniques to identify corrective actions and process improvements for the team.

Lead the integration of Quality standards and procedures directly into the product development process.

Collaborate with development teams on creating and enhancing current quality standards and processes.

Collaborate with Scrum Masters to ensure clearly defined user stories, product definition and acceptance criteria.

Assess and communicate risks based on complexity, resource, and timeline constraints.

Implement agile testing methodologies in the software development lifecycle, which includes in-sprint automated testing from unit to functional.

Implement and maintain software deployment and release best practices.

Define quality metrics used to assess code promotion from development environments, staging and production.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university preferred.

8-10 years of experience in a software quality/testing role.

3-5 years of supervisory experience with a proven ability to drive a culture of high performance, accountability, support and development.

Experience defining and implementing test automation strategies.

Solid understanding of new software quality trends and best practices.

Proven track record implementing Agile methodologies and delivering high-quality solutions.

Strong facilitation skills.

Experience coordinating and driving a quality assurance across an organization.

Proven ability to build relationships, collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams across product line boundaries.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Ability to effectively and efficiently manage through complex problems.

Enjoy minimal travel.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $112,000.00–$155,500.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
