As part of R&D, the Regulatory Manager will provide support to various functions at Saputo USA.  This individual must be self-motivated with strong leadership, project management and communication skills.  The candidate must be able to work closely with multiple levels of the organization from R&D, Corporate and Plant QA, Product Management, Sales, Customers and Suppliers to ensure project objectives and deliverables are met.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter...

Lead Regulatory Team comprised of multiple individuals that support both Cheese and Fluid product portfolio

Coordinate with Product Developers, Plant QA and other functional areas to create and maintain technical specs and Regulatory documentation

Ensure consistency and accuracy of technical data provided to customers while meeting specified deadlines

Maintain accurate data within various customer’s data management systems.  Work with customer’s directly to ensure compliance with customer’s data management programs

Assist in the creation, maintenance and approval of ingredient specifications

Lead the submission, collection and coordination of Religious Agency certification for ingredients and finished products

Support Saputo facilities in the management of religious agency programs

Facilitate collection and subsequent organization of key information for Regulatory and Package Graphics

Support the work of overall R&D Department in delivering Departmental and Organizational objectives

Collaborate with multiple business teams both internal and external of R&D (Operations, Product Management, Sales, etc.) and work as part of cross functional team to solve complex business needs

Lead the development and maintenance of departmental systems that contain technical, Regulatory and packaging data for both internal and external customers. 

Represent Saputo on multiple industry groups/forums by attending webinars, workshops and trade events

Provide labeling regulatory compliance support to Product Developers, QA, Operations, Sales, Category Management and Customers

Complete labeling audits and help implement process improvements within the R&D Regulatory function

Cross functional responsibilities to include the development of regulatory documentation for suppliers, product specifications and customer requests

Work closely with Packaging Graphics to ensure complete and accurate information is provided to printers and customers

Support the implementation and utilization of GPIM and GPLM processes for Saputo USA

You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have….

A Bachelor’s degree in Science preferred (Food, Nutrition, Regulatory Compliance or similar)

A minimum of 5-7 years technical food experience.  Dairy experience is preferred    

Demonstrated understanding of computerized database management for technical specifications in a food/beverage company.  Familiarity with SAP preferred

Are able to travel –less than 10%

Working knowledge of computerized database management software

The ability to organize and manage large amounts of data

The ability to prioritize and effectively manage evolving customer demands

The ability to work in team environment, simultaneously working with several different teams

A High degree of integrity

Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with an attention to detail

A high level of motivation

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Salary Range: $102,170 to $134,100

Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience education, skills, and training.
