Manager, Research Program Management (Regeneron Genetics Center)

We are seeking a manager to join our RGC Research Program Management team to use their scientific expertise and program management knowledge and experience to proactively plan, coordinate, and lead cross-functional aspects of the Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC) Therapeutics Area Genetics (TAG) Team. 

In this role, a typical day may include: 

Communication: 

Independently leads and facilitates collaborations between cross-functional teams to ensure effective, accurate, and timely communications for RGC and TAG projects. 

Tailor written and oral communications based on audience. Distill and capture sophisticated information and identify the most pertinent data through meeting summaries, capturing key decisions and action items.  

Provide genetics collaborations summaries and general guidelines to support presentations to senior management and key partners. 

Team Management: 

Build cross-functional teams and leads project deliverables in a matrix organization. 

Use relevant working knowledge and experience to devise templates, working and best practices, and tracking tools. 

Planning, Tracking & Project Reporting: 

Utilize relevant technical knowledge to plan, track and execute a large portfolio of genetics projects to support novel target discovery. 

Lead RGC and scientific teams to make go/no-go decisions on new genetics projects. 

Maintain knowledge of data and achievements, as well as serve as a key contact for genetics collaborations and projects. This includes project tracking to monitor and communicate project status across RGC and REGN. 

Process Implementation & Improvement: 

Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and process improvement by defining, detailing, and assessing best practices, program procedures and tools. 

Define and document best practices and procedures by performing analyses and preparing recommendations. 

Problem Solving: 

Identify potential issues and implement mitigation strategies for general problem solving within Research Program Management or the RGC. 

This role may be for you if you: 

Have experience gaining cooperation from others and efficiently leading cross-functional discussions with internal and external partners. 

Are comfortable with regularly engaging and advising a broad range of research scientists, as well as senior management. 

Can identify scientific and resource interdependencies, potential bottlenecks, and opportunities for alignment. 

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members with tact and diplomacy 

To be considered for this role, you must have a master’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience or a PhD in a relevant biological area with a minimum of 2-3 years of project management experience in a scientific field or the drug discovery / development industry. We are looking for someone who has a strong instinct to act, is organized, self-motivated and able to follow through collaborative engagement. This role will serve as the key point of contact for TAG projects. Must have proficiency in relevant software such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word in addition to general knowledge of shared work environments. A minimum of 3 days on site is required and subject to change.

Salary Range (annually)

$113,100.00 - $184,700.00
