Manager, Respiratory Care

Description:

The Manager of Respiratory Care is responsible for management of Respiratory Care and Pulmonary Function departments which includes management of daily operations; process or program design, improvement, implementation and maintenance; financial and human resource management; strategic planning; and quality assessment and improvement. Continually evaluates progress toward objectives and maintains efficient and effective day-to-day operations.

Job responsibilities:

Utilization of protocols, guidelines, pathways, and polices, driven by evidence-based medicine, expert opinion, and standards of practice.Promotes and supports accountability by holding self and others accountable for measurable high-quality and cost- effective outcomes.Exhibits leadership presence.Develops relationships across the care continuum to build alliances and partnerships and achieve common goals.Coaches team in their development (e.g. conflict management, active listening, communication, etc.Fosters an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual differences are valued and maximized to achieve the vision and mission of the organization.Serve as a role model for supporting Trinity Health's Misson and Core values. 

Required:

Bachelor's degree in an accredited respiratory care program, Master's degree preferred.3-5 years of previous job-related experience; 6-10 preferred.3-5 years of managerial experience.

Licensure/Certifications:

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)Current Respiratory Care License State of IllinoisNPS-Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NBRC)Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Preferred:

ACLS (Advanced Cardio Life Support Certified)PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)Six Sigma Green Belt
