Manager, Retail Development

  

 

 

Overview & Responsibilities:

The Manager of Retail Development will support the sell-in and sell-thru of key Softlines, Hardlines, & CPG categories at the Off-price (Burlington, Ross/dd’s, & TJX Companies) and Value (Five Below, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, & Family Dollar) Channels of accounts which include all categories of apparel, accessories, home, toys, arts & crafts, seasonal, stationery, food & beverage, health & beauty categories. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

With managerial support, become a key partner on relationship management.

Build elevated sales pitches & presentations that tell the story of Paramount Consumer Products and how our brands help retail partners meet their sales goals.

Regularly present information to buyers to grow our business at the Off-price & Value channels.

Handle daily communications and partner closely with Vendors for all categories, including coordinating sales calls/meetings, sharing account updates internally, fielding requests for information, & creating and distributing updated vendor lists and sales/brand presentations to key partners.

Manage and guide the process of channel product development plans and initiatives to internal Lines of Business/Licensing teams to support delivering on key business priorities.

Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Licensing, Retail Marketing, Franchise, and Analytics teams.

Maintain, develop, and complete regular administrative tasks for designated channels of accounts.

 

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in the Retail, Licensing, Merchandising, Consumer Products or related field with some knowledge of sales, kid’s media, product, and/or market

Excellent skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred

 

Additional Qualifications:

Proven working knowledge of entertainment, consumer products categories and/or retail industry

Proven knowledge of Off-price and/or Value accounts a plus

Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop excellent working relationships at all levels.

Very strong written, sales/presentation skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-up.

Ability to work autonomously, be adaptable and solution oriented while thriving in a fast-paced environment to achieve goals, deadlines, and sales target plans.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $86,000.00 - 105,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
