Manager, Retail Order
How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Delta is on a journey to become a world-class retailer, changing the way Delta can sell and service flight and ancillary products and improve the overall customer experience. To achieve this goal, Delta’s Retail Strategy is to consistently offer, sell, and service high quality personalized products in the customer’s channel of choice. To offer enhanced product offerings, Delta is creating a new system of record, Order, that will serve as the source of truth for all products sold. Enterprise Solutions (ES) is seeking a Manager of Retail Order to lead a team of technology product owners responsible for ordering, fulfilling, and servicing Delta products while navigating the migration to the new system of record. The Order team is responsible for the following scope: Orchestration to create, retrieve, change and cancel an order Create and update the order record Creation of records in legacy systems of record We are looking for candidates who are motivated by solving problems, exhibit curiosity to understand current processes, think creatively to identify solutions. Responsibilities: + Lead and develop a team of highly skilled and motivated product owners + Define a vision and roadmap for creating a new retailing order management product for Delta + Deliver a more seamless customer selling and servicing experience through an integrated order management platform, eliminating the constraints of legacy constraints and processes + Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to drive input on requirements and communicating progress against development roadmap + Drive delivery on short-term initiatives while building future-state enterprise capabilities + Manage transition to order management system without interrupting existing critical business functions What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) + Minimum five years of airline, retail technology or equivalent experience required + Strong business knowledge and technical skills with an in-depth understanding of product management + Capable of managing multiple projects with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment + Focused on results and can prioritize competing interests with seemingly disparate goals + Uses data to quantify problems, identify trade-offs and develop solutions + Communicates in a timely, accurate and effective manner + Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. + Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. + Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. + Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States. What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) + BA/BS or advanced degree in a process or project management discipline such as Business Administration or Industrial Engineering + Relevant working experience in Retail Order Management, Booking, Ticketing, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or IT Product Development. + Prior experience leading a team in a commercial setting + PNR, Order, Booking and/or Ticketing knowledge + Experience in at least one commercial or operations function such as Reservations, Airport Customer Service, eCommerce, Revenue Management or Sales + Knowledge of revenue management theory or airline systems/data Benefits and Perks to Help You Keep Climbing Our culture is rooted in a shared dedication to living our values – Care, Integrity, Resilience and Servant Leadership – every day, in everything we do.
