Manager, Revenue Accounting (Warrendale, PA)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Revenue Recognition Review sales quotes, customer contracts and customer purchase orders to determine revenue recognition in accordance with company policies and ASC 606.  Provide guidance to cross functional and cross regional teams on booking the order and recording accounting transactions. Prepare revenue accounting proposals for review and approval by Technical Accounting.  Assist with the development and implementation of new accounting methodologies, estimates, policies, processes and controls.  Complete finance analyses to support management decisions.  Interface effectively with numerous individuals both internally and externally, including external audit, to provide documents, analyses, and address and resolve revenue issues. Development and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) Contracts Responsible for directing cross functional and cross regional teams in the booking and billing of NRE orders, and the calculating and recording of the related accounting and intercompany transactions.  Assist BU Controllers in modelling and forecasting project revenue, cost of goods sold and R&D expense.  Perform monthly and quarterly NRE reviews.  Customer Contracts Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Legal, Business leaders, and Finance personnel to review and structure finance terms in non-standard contracts. Communicate clearly and consistently with internal stakeholders regarding accounting treatment, expectations and risk. Other Responsibilities Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.

Education & Experience

B.S. or B.A. in Accounting / Finance; CPA preferred. Eight (8) to ten (10) years of revenue recognition and accounting experience, preferably with a combination of experience working in a Big 4 accounting firm and/or large public, multi-national company.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate complex scenarios and topics to team members and cross-functional partners in a clear, concise, and logical manner. Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve complex problems. Ability to quickly re-prioritize and deliver timely, accurate results in a fluid, fast paced environment. Capable of working independently with minimal guidance from supervisor on specific tasks. Ability to work cross-functionally and across various levels within a company. Experience with SAP and/or Oracle preferred.

Working conditions typical of a climate controlled and professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
