Manager, Revenue Cycle Patient Access
The Manager, Revenue Cycle Patient Access primarily oversees the daily operations of assigned staff within Patient Access for the Prince William and Haymarket locations. The Manager ensures the patient access team meets or exceeds service goals and that all contacts and inquiries are handled in an efficient accurate and timely manner. + Manages the assigned staff within Patient Financial Services and oversees all Revenue Cycle Collections related activities for the Medical Center. + Responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for interactions with internal and external customers to Patient Financial Services primary decision maker regarding collection activities with third party insurance and guarantors. + Assures compliance with state law mandates on collections associated with the Medical Center’s status as an agency of the Commonwealth. + Manages the day to day operations of Patient Financial Service Customer Service Unit which acts as the primary point of contact for calls coming into Patient Financial Services regarding Revenue Cycle concerns. + Plans and implements unit strategies systems and processes effective organization and supervision of assigned employees and resources within the Service Units. + Ensures an optimum environment for the efficient collections of accounts and is responsible to ensure that the quality and quantity of the contacts meet/exceed service goals and that all inquiries are handled in an efficient accurate and timely manner. This includes driving improvement in customer satisfaction employee development and retention and overall operational efficiencies. + Assures integrity of all processes (both automated and manual) related to account timelines write-offs account placements with vendors (and returns) as well as assuring performance accountability of all associated vendor relationships as well as internal staff. + In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. Position Compensation Range: $74,900.80 - $119,849.60 Annual MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s Degree required or obtain within 4 years of hire date. Experience: 3-5 years of management and/or supervisory experience in healthcare or similar customer oriented business. Prior collections’ experience preferred Licensure: May require a valid Virginia Driver’s License PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
