Burlington Stores, Inc. is looking for a Manager - Risk & Insurance, who will be reporting to the Director – Risk & Insurance. This role is responsible for managing the corporation's risk and insurance programs to minimize the impact of operational and financial risk to the company. This position will work collaboratively across the organization, our external advisors, brokers, insurance carriers and others on risk management strategy formulation, identification of exposures, implementation of best practices, gathering underwriting data, and the design and placement of appropriate coverage. This individual will have a good understanding of potential risks facing the corporation and optimal methods to adequately address exposures with insurance or other measures.
A Day in the Life
Assists Director in managing all lines of insurance including but not limited to General Liability, Workers Compensation, Automobile Liability, Property, Cargo Marine, Director & Officers Liability; Fiduciary Liability, Crime, Cyber, and EPL.Review annual insurance policies and invoices for accuracy as bound and prepare and track paymentTrack, process and distribute Certificates of InsuranceIndependently manage, gather and submit all underwriting exposure information and complete renewal application processes. Working with multiple internal partners, IT, Real Estate, and Finance senior team members.Manage the risk management information system(s), data reporting, monthly trend reporting and additional risk analysis processes, independently analyzing the company’s losses, developing loss control programs, and recommending strategic process changes as needed to mitigate the total cost of risk to the organization.Develop and present power point presentations for executive team sharing trends and data analytics on claimsDevelop and manage an insurance budget annually with Director and manage annual insurance renewal premium costs to fit within the established budget. Taking partners with FP&A regularly to execute on this.Work with financial reporting, accounting and audit functions, and outside auditors as requiredCoordinate carrier services, including risk engineering visits at distribution centers, corporate offices and stores.Support Contracts staff with the review of proposals and other contract activities that create risk and advise on risk exposures as well as develop recommended actions (contract edits, insurance requirements, etc.) to mitigate identified riskYou'll Come With
Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 5-7 years of related work experience with an understanding of corporate insurance programs, loss analysis and risk management strategy development.Excellent oral and written communication skills and a commitment to customer service.Strong attention to detail, documentation, and organization.Skilled in data analysisWorking knowledge of Budget preparation and handling finance related questionsComputer skills in Windows environment, working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point etc.Relevant professional certifications a plus: CRM, ARM, CPCU, etc.Come join our team.
