Job Description

Performance Contracting Group is currently seeking an experienced Safety Manager for our Central Region. This position will work with the Director, National Safety and other Safety Managers to provide leadership and direction on all Safety matters to assigned operations, branches and departments, including measuring and evaluation the effectiveness of the safety program and making and recommending modifications as needed to achieve established safety goals and objectives. This position works closely with appropriate operational departments in order to direct the application and administration of established corporate safety programs throughout the company.  Serve as consultant to assigned regions and Leadership to establish plans to improve overall health and safety of each. Other responsibilies include:

Partner with operations to maintain and promote a culture of safety, ensuring the implementation of safe work practices and supportive behaviors across your regionEnsure region’s safety records, reports, and documentation are compliant with industry and company requirementsEnsure execution of the company's accident prevention plan, safety policies, and procedures; provide essential safety resources such as training, expertise, guidance, and trend analysis (leading and lagging indicators)Supervise standards and expectations for investigating and evaluating injuries and illnesses and helping manage ongoing claims with appropriate internal/external partners within your regionEnsure region’s alignment with company’s return-to-work programCreate and foster positive relationships with all branch operations, corporate departments, vendors, colleagues, and customersTake ownership of talent development for direct reports, including departmental succession planning Attend and participate in professional and committee meetings related to health and safety issues.  Serve as a principal source of information on health and safety issues. Requirements  

Minimum Requirements:

5 years Construction Safety experienceStrong management and leadership expereince Ability to travel 60% of the timeStrong working knowledge of construction operationsExcellent oral and written communication, organization and interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively communicate complex information to employees at all levels of the organizationAbility to maintain confidential informationMust have a great attitude and be team orientedAbility to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage changeWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Preferred Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in Safety and Health or related field a plusBCSP (CHST, ASP, CSP) or credentials a plusExperience working with members of executive leadershipFluency in Spanish is preferred Training experience is preferred
