What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for the management of center security which includes safety, fire protection, security, and liaison with law enforcement and other support agencies, in compliance with government and management directives.  

 Essential duties:

Plan, coordinate and manage the administrative and safety, and security activities of the department; serve as liaison between the center and immediate community in security and law enforcement matters.  Regularly assess and audit the department for contractual compliance and quality of services to students and prepare audit and assessment reports.  Ensure the transportation need of the center are being met.  Coordinate searches of student's rooms, lockers and belongings. Ensure proper protocols are followed.  Assure accountability of students, staff, and visitor check-out and check-in proceedings by scheduling coverage.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelor’s degree and two years' experience required, one which must be in a supervisory capacity. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.  Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required.  Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
