The Manager, Sales Marketing Federal will work closely with Sales and Marketing Teams to execute events and co-create marketing campaigns that achieve pipeline and revenue goals. The role is equal parts creative, collaborative, and revenue-minded, with the flexibility to slide from setting strategy to executing on the ground with the Public Sector Sales team. You will oversee a team of three Marketing Specialists/Managers to assist in the development and production of amazing experiences for our partners, customers, and employees. You will also evangelize World Wide Technology and expand the event’s reach by working with your Marketing peers to recommend digital marketing tactics, content creation and other ABM marketing strategies that amplify the events.
Responsibilities:
Intimately understands Public Sector Sales business priorities and builds an annual marketing plan that meets customer satisfaction and acquisition metrics Utilizes research, data, and insights to inform the selection of, and strategy for, all Federal Public Sector events and sponsorships, in alignment with the vision set by Sales and Marketing Leadership teams Event examples include local/regional trade shows, hyper-local customer appreciation events, networking events and large receptions, thought leadership seminars, owned event series, etc. Leads the creative process, concepting world-class event experiences that may be executed by a cross-functional team and, occasionally, agency partners Works horizontally with Marketing peers to influence messaging and articulate World Wide Technology’s capabilities, differentiating value, and key benefits for the Public Sector Oversees the team of three Marketing Specialists that coordinate and produce Sales Marketing events for the FedCiv and DoD Public Sector Sales Verticals, occasionally supporting additional business sectors. Note, Specialists may live in different regions of the country. Guides team to create experiences and occasional ABM campaigns that engage with customers every step of their journey: pre, during and post event, deepening consideration and intent at every stage Additional multi-channel touchpoints, developed in partnership with Marketing peers, may include digital advertising, website content, email campaigns, OOH, PR, event signage/collateral, social posts, community engagement, lead acquisition, etc. Creates structure and processes to operationalize event production and ensure flawless execution For select events/campaigns, acts as an individual contributor and drives the planning, coordination, documentation and execution of select events Develops, or oversees the development of, marketing materials (invites, landing pages, sales collateral) Manages marketing dashboard and sets, tracks, and analyzes events with regular qualitative and quantitative-driven check-ins with leadership. Then uses these results to inform future strategies or attendance Develops and manages relationships with key sales and other marketing stakeholders that are internal clients of the Sales Marketing Team. This may include Sales leadership, Services leadership, Engineering leadership, and other key executives Builds strong relationship with and collaborate with OEMs for the purpose of obtaining funding for campaigns Assists in the planning, coordination, documentation, execution, and purchasing of promotional materials; managing requirements with creative services department Maintains a keen understanding of industry trends and uses the trends to make strategic recommendations Develops budgets, forecasts and reports out on budgetary matters Communicates effectively with cross functional teams across company Tracks and helps drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on outstanding items Provides Onsite management of sales activities and events Direct agencies and ensure flawless execution Manages priorities assignments, hiring, compensation, reviews, and other employee-related activities Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
