What You’ll do
As the Manager, Search & Personalization, you will be responsible for enhancing the user experience on the RuralKing.com website by optimizing the search logic and personalizing content for individual users. This role combines data analysis, user experience design, search relevancy, and digital best practices to ensure that visitors can easily find what they’re looking for while receiving tailored recommendations based on their behaviors and preferences.

 

 

Manages the onsite search tool through rule sets to improve search results based on input from ecommerce customer insights and onsite search analysisReporting daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly KPIs including search conversionBuilds strong working relationship with teams across the organization that helps facilitate awareness and support of business strategies and initiativesSupports and provides direction to the business analysts in determining the impact of new functionality to existing business processes and system functionalitySupport the production and delivery of products in an agile product development environment, ensuring that priorities, schedules, budget, and business goals are metKnowledge of web analytics platforms (Googe Analytics, Adobe, or similar)In depth knowledge of modern, best-in-class search strategiesDemonstrated track record of effectively building partnerships and effectively managing and resolving challengesReview online activities impacting the customer experience (Browse, search, navigation, etc)Build systems and protocols internally that ensure all logic is optimized across all platforms and user experiences (websites, mobile, etc)Implement search strategies in partnership with the SEO team to ensure optimal business performance & work with internal teams & departments to understand business impact, performance & targetCarry out onsite web analytics analysis to optimize the complete consumer journey & pro-actively suggest improvements to logic, design, and internal architectureBuild and development personalized experiences on the website to build customer loyalty, drive sales and conversion, and enhance the user experienceMake a meaningful impact and drive positive change in the lives of our customers and the communities we serve. Essential Qualities for Success

 

At least 5 years of onsite search experience or equivalent combination of experience and educationPrevious experience in a Search Manager role from retail industry a plusBS/BA or University degree requiredAdvanced knowledge of industry leading search vendors or related softwareWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and motivate team member to deliver high quality results. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas, instructions, and information clearly and concisely. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport, foster relationships, and collaborate effectively. Proven track record of establishing and maintaining positive relationships. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail. Proven ability to analyze and optimize complex processes to achieve operational excellence. Effectively articulate expectations, requirements, and boundaries while actively listing to other’s perspectives. Experience in coordinating and managing complex projects, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient resources to complete a project on time.Demonstrate a high level of adaptability in response to changing priorities, unexpected challenges, and evolving business needs.Demonstrated willingness to take on new responsibilities, tasks, and projects demonstrating a proactive approach to learning and growth. Demonstrated experience making sound decisions in a professional context. Proven track record of evaluating options, considering relevant factors, and achieving desired outcomes. Strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify and address issues, minimizing potential delays or disruptions.
