Manager, Security Operations Center

HealthPartners is hiring a Security Operations Center Manager. As a Security Operations Center Manager for HealthPartners, you will use your knowledge, skills and experience within the security operations, systems, and technology domain to meet our care delivery and plan group needs and ensure that care and business operations perform safely and efficiently.  You will play a key role in developing and refining security operations, systems and technology strategies and processes at HealthPartners so that the organization remains proactive, resilient, and safe.  The Manager is a key process leader on the systemwide systems and technology team and supports security operations and emergency management functions within all of HealthPartners entities.  The Manager reports to the Director of Security Systems and Technology.

The Manager is responsible for implementing a security operations center program to ensure an all-hazards, system-aligned approach to preparedness and response involving emergencies and disasters. The colleague designs and manages activities to build, sustain, and improve HealthPartners’ capability to manage daily system operations (security, emergency management, business continuity, and systems and technology).  The Manager leads security operations center colleagues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: A bachelor's degree in a related field and/or five years of related experience with healthcare project / program management, emergency management, business continuity, technology and/or security. Experience with security operations center daily work and leadership. Experience with physical security technology end user deployment and troubleshooting. Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail and accuracy, including the ability to interact with all levels of leadership. Proven project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize concurrent tasks. Strong critical thinking skills to ensure response and recovery strategies are effective, efficient and provide value. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, multi-task, and prioritize deadlines. Strong technology and physical security skills. Working knowledge of industry standards, or the ability to learn them, in areas including, but not limited to: Computer aided dispatching Security access control and video management systems Security operations center leadership and colleague development

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: Experience with business continuity and mass notification software preferred (EverBridge) Experience in Healthcare Emergency Management Experience with Business Impact Analysis (BIA) Experience with Genetec security systems and technology Experience with Omnigo documentation software Experience integrating disparate security systems Microsoft Office Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Information technology infrastructure Motorola radio systems Public Safety Radio systems

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:  

(25%) – Leading security operations center colleagues:  Managing, mentoring, coaching, correcting performance. Setting department objectives and metrics; driving daily performance.  Completing the daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly administrative duties of the department.

 

(15%) – Participates on the Security Systems and Technology leadership team’s strategy and tactics work.  Translate organizational goals and objectives to department level deliverables with the Director.  Aligns daily security operations center workflows with the technology strategy of the larger department.

 

(15%) – Manages security systems and technology projects as determined by the Director.

 

(15%) – Covers security operations center frontline roles and duties as determined by the department’s needs.

 

(15%) – Develop policies, procedures, work standards, and job aids for the department.

 

(5%) - Build and maintain business continuity strategies to reduce risk and close gaps identified through risk assessment, business impact analysis, and exercising.  Lead business impact analysis (BIA) and business continuity plan (BCP) work for the department.  Assess the resiliency of the department in response to various types of incidents and identify and implement mitigation strategies.  Assure that all plans are updated annually.

 

(5%) - Interact with senior leaders and colleagues from across all the employment homes in the organization.
