Manager, Small Parcel Fulfillment

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Key fundamental skill sets for this role will be:

Lead and manage day-to-day small parcel fulfillment operations across day and night shifts, ensuring compliance with company standards and performance metrics. Develop and implement strategies to streamline small parcel processing, improve order accuracy, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Work closely with cross-functional teams to align small parcel fulfillment strategies with overall supply chain and organizational goals. Develop and analyze KPIs to assess the effectiveness of small parcel fulfillment operations. Identify opportunities for process improvement within small parcel fulfillment, implementing changes to enhance speed, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities. Regularly assess and update SOPs to reflect industry best practices. Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of small parcel orders. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any discrepancies and continuously improve fulfillment processes. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma; College degree preferred 5+ years experience in managing small parcel fulfillment operations. Computer proficiency: proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Strong working knowledge of Tier 1 WMS (Manhattan preferred) Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. In-depth knowledge of small parcel shipping carriers and industry best practices. Proven experience as a supervisor in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to motivate and train employees Knowledge of coaching and mentoring of staff
