Your day to day :
Build, manage, mentor, and coach a team of highly skilled Software Engineers

Management of departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team.
Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach.
Report on the status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management.
Strategize for the long-term vision collaborating with Architect, product, to bring in the best recommendations backed with data to influence management to take the right long-term decisions
Promote a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and innovative solutions within the organization.
Lead a team that is working on multiple modules in parallel. Guide the team members in mapping the business requirements to technical capabilities
Review effective designs for complex problems using system design concepts.
Own planning of application changes, new release features, performance optimizations, etc.
Create and maintain the application standards, coding best practices, involved in code reviews, etc.
What do you need to bring:
At least 12+ years professional experience and 2+ years of relevant software engineering manager experience being hands-on in scalable applications/systems in Java backend, frontend and related technologies.
Track record of exceptional people and leadership skills, ability to empower people, uphold accountability and achieve results
You love fostering career growth and building a strong team culture
You enjoy working collaboratively with a Product Manager to build and maintain a backlog of work for a team of engineers
Strong collaborator who can build lasting, productive partnerships with peers, management, and stakeholders
BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
Payment industry experience is a plus
