As an Engineering Manager, you will influence the customer experience for PayPal customers in 200+ countries. We are looking for someone who is motivated, versatile, and hands-on as you are responsible for leading and developing a team of skilled engineers, helping with design, implementation and delivering state of the art web experiences.

Your day to day:

Managing a world class backend infrastructure powered by REST Services, GraphQL endpoints and Database connectivity

Facilitating and driving key technology decisions with senior technology stakeholders.

Attracting, retaining, and building top notch backend engineering talent.

Bring innovation to the table that helps in improving the resiliency of products you are responsible for, sell your ideas and be part of the change.

Looking for continuous improvement in productivity and quality.

What do you need to bring:

5+ years of experience in managing and growing engineering teams that are responsible for large scale & high-volume websites.

Experience building and managing highly effective engineering teams, conducting performance reviews, making compensation decisions, and recruiting talent.

BS/MS in Computer Science with 8+ years of working experience.

Solid knowledge of Java, REST Services, GraphQL

Ability to partner with business units, product management, program management and cross-functional teams to deliver business results with agility and high quality.
