The Manager, Software Development is responsible for leading a team of Technical Program Managers and Tech Leads. This role requires proven technical software implementation experience.

The candidate will directly manage a team of 4 to 6 Sr. resources and will work on assessing current scrum methodology and implementing a proven and repeatable set of processes to ensure optimal team efficiencies, individual and team accountability, successful feature launches and reliable, traceable and measurable KPIs.

This role is predominantly responsible for the management of the software development lifecycle and the execution of the functional and non-functional roadmaps.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

Manage a team of talented Technical Delivery Leads and Technical Program Managers responsible for leading a team of Software Engineers towards successful implementation of software features.Coordinate with internal teams to ensure business requirements are gathered and user stories are created for current and future Development Projects.Own technical requirements/user stories definition, implementation and delivery.Drives API endpoints delivery from requirements, stories, documentation, testing, stakeholder training, monitoring/troubleshooting API endpoint in production.Work with off-shore development teams to ensure development requirements are prioritized, developed per user story specification.Focus on scope, tone, and quality of processes and their respective documentation, as well as the associated goals, priorities, deadlines, and risks identification.Coach and mentor Technical Program Managers and Tech Leads to ensure team members own their feature implementation end to end, starting from technical story decomposition to software implementation management, code reviews coordination, feature deployment and post launch activities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.At least seven years of experience working as a software engineering or managing technical delivery or software engineering with a focus on APIs and system integration projects.Seven or more years of experience managing within Agile software development lifecycle framework.Technical knowledge of portal software, design and development.Proven experience working with APIs and performing end to end system troubleshooting.Strong Quality Assurance experience performing manual and automated testing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Two or more years of experience working in a Data Center company.· Experience working with offshore teams.Experience leading software development initiatives.Certified PMP, Scrum Master or SAFe ScrumMaster.Experience leading data science / machine learning projects.

Excellent interpersonal skills (communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, etc.) when dealing with internal and/or external audiences at all levels of managementCapacity to inspire team members to perform to their fullest abilities and experience managing and dealing with conflict.Use organizational skills to determine prioritization and appropriate multitasking.Focus on scope, tone, and quality of processes and their respective documentation, as well as the associated goals, priorities, deadlines, and weaknesses.Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, on a project of varying complexity.
