Duties: Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders in defining strategy and scope of the software requirements (decomposing stories, designing features, and prioritizing tasks). Deliver new concepts and features, working alongside development peers in an agile environment. Partner with the scrum master and product owner in providing development sizing and cost analysis estimates. Utilize automated software test tools and frameworks such as test driven development in achieving the highest quality in software delivery. Support integration efforts in building whole systems from various subsystems. Identify technology risk early and establishing mitigation plans. Perform tasks that require research and analysis before implementation. Work independently and with supervisory review on moderate to complex programming tasks. Provide analysis of problems and recommend solutions. Work within established procedures to develop, test, implement, and maintain code. Develop reusable front-end modules. Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQ in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.
Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $151,042.50 to $200,100.00 per year
What you haveJob Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 72 months (6 years) of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained. In the alternate, employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 48 months (4 years) of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained. Requires experience (72 months w/ Bachelor's or 48 months w/ Master's) in each of the following skills: 1. Java or C# development; 2. Systems management and monitoring of Retail Trading Website through Grafana; 3. Applications monitoring through Governor Monitor tool; 4. Agile methodology applied using Jira processes; 5. Configuration and integration of Hystrix within Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) architecture; 6. Splunk or DB log script development; and, 7. Exposure to REACT development.
